Juneteenth Concert - Cherry Street Music series Allison Eldredge performs works by American Black composers Allison Loggins-Hull and Adolphus Hailstork for solo cello and is joined by guest Artists Grammy-nominated Vocalist Donna McElroy and a rhythm section from Berklee College of Music in songs and traditional spirituals including songs by Fats Waller, Charles Mingus, Stevie Wonder, Duke Ellington and more. An Art Exhibition by Lou Jones Pan-America photographing African countries will be on display at the historic ALLEN Center for Arts and Culture. Join us for this special concert in celebration of the abolition of slavery in the United States! Refreshments will be offered.
